RISK MANAGEMENT

Vigilance

Risk management is "an organised effort to identify, evaluate and reduce, wherever possible, the risks incurred by patients, visitors and staff".

THE MAIN OBJECTIVES OF RISK MANAGEMENT

  • To improve the safety of people and property
  • Reduce avoidable risks
  • To limit the seriousness of the consequences of unavoidable accidents.

Given the dispersed nature of the structures and players involved, the clinic has set up a coordination committee, the aim of which is to bring together the players, resources and actions in this area. This coordination includes risk management and health vigilance management, and is also linked to the structures developing continuous quality improvement processes.

Vigilance systems form the basis of health safety at national level, as well as in our establishment:

Pharmacovigilance, Risks related to adverse drug reactions

  • Materials vigilance, risks associated with the use of medical devices
  • Haemovigilance, Risks associated with blood transfusions,
  • Radiovigilance, Risks associated with ionising radiation,
  • Identitovigilance, Risks related to patient identity,
  • Infectioovigilance, Risks related to nosocomial infections,
  • Aquavigilance, Health distribution network and water quality,
  • Aerovigilance, Air distribution network and air quality,
  • Biovigilance, Risks associated with the therapeutic use of elements and products of the human body,
  • Falls, Risks associated with falls,
  • Security and anti-malicious acts, Risks associated with fire and malicious acts.
